Hello fellow Lightworkers. My name is Armand, of Armand and Angelina.
We are known as "A Magical Ministry of Music, Message and Mirth". As a songwriter and performer, I was always looking
for ways to support myself on all levels by offering my music. It wasn't until I started playing at New Thought
Churches (ie, Unity, Religious Science, etc) that I found a way to share my music in a profitable way. Besides a guarantee
of 30-300 or more captive audience members, they are usually sober and never ask you to play "Skynard or Seger".
The average CD sales per Sunday range from 10-100 which is 10 times more than I sold atclubs etc in the 80's and early
90's. People are there to be inspired and moved so if your music does that, you are guaranteed to be supported.
Here's the back side. It does take some work and persistance. Not everyone will invite
you to sing and perform. There are lots of others doing this so you'll have to make yourself unique. Most
of the churches are 40-75 members so to make in financially feasible, you will need to offer an additional workshop or concert.
Churches are becoming less and less interested in concerts since there are so many musicians out there offering this.
To make ourselves more marketable, we are now offering a new Concert called "Armand and
Angelina Sing the Secret" which speaks and sings of the Law of Attraction. This gives the audience
something they can relate to in advance.
I won't say that it has been easy. I will say that I'd rather
put effort into sharing my gifts and doing what I love more than anything else like selling cars which I would also be good
at. My final say on this and anything else is.....we have found that being financially
healthy is important in all professions. The simplest tool that we have found is to put 10% aside for
a tithe to where you are spiritually fed and another 10% aside for investments/savings. That way you are loving yourself
and others and acting as if you know you are rich. We were able to tithe and save as much in 2006 as I made in 1997.
Being a struggling artist serves noone.
