First, we ask you to get clear on what you really want.  What is really important to you?  What is it that you really miss during the so-called “slow” times?  Is it the activity, or is it something more?

If you want to stay “busy” during the so-called “slow” times, that is easy enough to do.  There are plenty of tasks that you can see to in your business, tasks of organizing, cleaning, managing, etc….tasks that you usually feel you don’t have the time to do or that you usually put off doing when your mind is more engaged in other more stimulating business activities.

We ask you this:  Have you been taking care of the little things you know you need to take care of?  Have you been organizing your thoughts, possessions, papers, and ideas?  Have you been getting ready for the next great wave of success?  If “success” (however you define it) or a great wave of business hit you now, would you be ready to receive it?

There is also the joy of day-to-day life, and we are sure that if you will let yourself, you can find plenty of fun & interesting activities to keep you “busy” during a “slow” period in your business.

We also ask you this:  Why would you want to be busy during the slow times?  Why not relax and enjoy these times for what they are?  Why not give yourself time to re-charge and take care of the small (but significant) details of life that you often overlook?  Why not use these periods to spend extra time with friends and family, doing the things you love, cultivating important relationships and also cultivating your spiritual growth.

If you insist on being “busy” during the slow times, there are many things to do, including taking long walks, pondering your vision for the future, organizing your time, cleaning your living or working space, and taking care of important creative projects that you have been putting off.

Staying busy isn’t always a matter of being busy with business.  One of the reasons that you are in business for yourself in the first place is so that you can take time for “you” when you want it, so enjoy it!
